Horacio Quiroga, the Edgar Allan Poe of Latin American literature, becomes the protagonist of his own final tale. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, he lies dying in the Hospital de Clínicas in Buenos Aires.
His works and memories weave a narcotic tangle of hallucinations as he decides to end his existence by swallowing cyanide. A journey of no return into the nightmares of an eternal Quiroga.

Álvaro León Rodríguez
Multidisciplinary artist and creative director with training in audiovisual communication, fine arts, film and photography. His short film La niña que tenía una sola oreja (2009) won more than 20 awards at national and international festivals.
Alberto López Garrido
Creative producer with a master's degree from the ECAM and a PhD in film production. His track record includes commercials for production companies such as Canada, Mirinda Films, TF7 and Landia. He has produced feature films like Gritos en el pasillo (2006), as well as television programmes and music videos…
Reyes Arnal Risueño
Animation producer. Production Supervisor on Robot Dreams (2023), nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2024. She has worked on productions such as La Primavera Siempre Vuelve, HALO, Cráter, Tyler Rake 2, Tulipop, Brave Bunnies and Lunnis de Leyenda.
Alex Pelayo
General director of Sísmica Studio, with 20 years of industry experience. Founder of a studio that works with the country's leading brands, he has led fiction, documentary and commercial projects for film and television, in both animation and live action.
Paula Quintanar
Producer with experience in film, web and TV, specialising in original animation and international co-productions. She has led teams and managed pre-production, production, post-production, CGI and VFX for brands such as Netflix, NIKE and Bacardi. She also takes part in creative supervision, looking after the visual narrative and the project's coherence.
María Manero Muro
Independent animator and filmmaker specialising in experimental animation. With a degree in Fine Arts and a master's in animation, she directed the short film Patchwork (2018) and animated The Sultana's Dream (2024). She teaches animation at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and has coordinated various animated projects.
Joaquín Martínez Pérez
Animator and visual artist whose career has been defined by the exploration of emerging techniques. He combines VR, painting and 3D to create new visual narratives, always seeking ways to tell stories from an experimental, hybrid standpoint.
Rebeca Arévalo Galván
After exploring various areas of production (events, sports broadcasts, news, series, unscripted documentaries…), her search for more creative storytelling has led her to the world of animation. Her goal is to take part in the entire creative process, from the initial development of the idea to the full execution of the project and its distribution.
Miguel Lavin
Philosopher and presenter. He works as Technical Director and Lead Animator at Sísmica Studio. He has supervised post-production, VFX and CGI for series and films for ESPN, Netflix, Amazon Studios and Lions Gate, among others, collaborating with figures such as Alejandro González Iñárritu, Guillermo Arriaga, Kristen Wiig, "Los Pérez" and Darius Khondj.
Jorge Granados
With more than a decade in the creative industry, including three years as a Motion Graphics Director, he specialises in Motion Graphics, CGI, VFX compositing and on-set VFX supervision. His portfolio includes collaborations with leading brands such as Apple, Adidas, Sprite, Warner Bros, Netflix and Prime Video, among others.
Sergio Díaz
CG Supervisor and Autodesk Flow consultant with 15 years of experience in animation, video games, VFX and VR. He has also worked as a Lighting TD and Pipeline Supervisor at studios such as Huevocartoon and Boxel Studio, as well as consulting for El Taller del Chucho and clients including Netflix, Disney and Nickelodeon.
Asdrúbal Rivera
With a background in engineering, he has led Sísmica Studio in a structured way over the past 15 years, consolidating and guiding its team. As a creative producer, he has developed live action, animation and visual effects projects for prominent clients such as Netflix, Amazon, Warner, Sony, Disney and luxury brands.
Patricio Gabriel Plaza
Animation filmmaker from La Plata with 20 years of experience. His work explores Latin American struggles through political horror. After founding the production company Ojo Raro, he created the short film Carne de Dios, nominated for the 2024 Annie Awards. An LGBTIQ+ activist, curator, teacher and creator of spaces for dissident voices in South American animation.
Paula Boffo
Working under the pseudonym Sukermercado, she is an animator and comics artist from Buenos Aires. Her work explores political, ecological and transfeminist themes. An award-winning graphic novelist, she directed the short film Santa Sombra and works in animated pre-production. She takes part in collectives against gender-based violence and for sex education.
Gervasio Canda
An Argentine based in Montreal, Gervasio is an architect specialising in spatial and interactive design. With a background in animation, video games and immersive experiences, he combines technology and authorship to create original visual universes. His collaborative, innovative approach defines projects with their own identity and unique narratives.
Romina Savary
Audiovisual producer trained at the National University of Córdoba, specialising in animation and documentary. She coordinates and produces content from the initial idea through to completion. She leads projects at Osa Estudio and Ojo Raro, chairs APA Argentina and coordinates the APALAB programmes and the International Animation Residency (RIA).
Itati Romero
A graduate in Film and TV from the UNC, she is part of Osa Estudio, where she produces content with an authorial focus. She directed the short film Carlos Montaña. She works freelance in art and direction, and coordinates APLAB and RIA. She sits on the board of APA Argentina, championing Latin American animation.
